Students at Ratu Kadavulevu School are gearing up for an improved educational experience with the recent donation of new desktop computers valued at over $36,000. This initiative, designed to bolster computer studies and academic performance among secondary school students, was marked by a ceremonial handover officiated by Sakiusa Tubuna, the Assistant Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister.
During the ceremony held at the school chapel on March 21, Tubuna, an alumnus of Ratu Kadavulevu School, shared inspirational words with the students. He encouraged them to set rigorous academic goals early and to harness the available resources to pave the way for their future. Tubuna highlighted the significance of reading and remaining focused, stating that diligent effort in their studies today will pay dividends in their lives beyond school.
“This donation reflects a continued commitment to enhancing educational resources and providing students with the tools they need to succeed,” Tubuna remarked. His advice is particularly relevant as educational infrastructures across Fiji are undergoing improvements aimed at equipping students for a competitive future.
This computer initiative aligns with a broader trend of educational upgrades in Fiji, complementing other recent efforts, such as the $49,000 investment for the newly inaugurated facility at Vatukaloko Secondary School. Continuous investments in educational technology and infrastructure demonstrate a dedicated effort to enrich student learning environments, foster academic success, and inspire hope for a brighter future for Fiji’s youth.
With such initiatives, there is a growing optimism that students will be better prepared to seize the opportunities ahead, paving the way for enhanced educational and personal growth.
