Three students from two different school campuses were apprehended yesterday on drug-related charges. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Livai Driu, commended the teachers for their involvement in ensuring the safety of the school environment. “We applaud the teachers, one of our crucial partners who are helping us maintain safety in our community. We will let the law take its course,” stated ACP Driu.

In addition to the arrests, ACP Driu revealed that another school is currently under investigation. This follows the discovery of smoking paraphernalia in the dining hall, which the school manager promptly reported to the police.

This situation highlights the importance of community collaboration in addressing issues related to substance abuse among students. The proactive measures taken by school staff demonstrate a commitment to fostering a safe learning environment.

Overall, while incidents like these are concerning, they also present an opportunity for schools and law enforcement to work together to educate students about the dangers of drugs, helping to promote a healthier and safer future for young people.
