The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Livai Driu, has stated that the involvement of students in serious crimes is a growing concern that should not be surprising. Speaking to cadets at Nabala Secondary School, he highlighted the unfortunate reality that many young individuals are engaged in serious criminal activities, including drug offenses, rape, abduction, and burglary.

Driu emphasized that these serious cases often involve juveniles under the age of 18. He cautioned the students that a single poor decision can have lifelong consequences, noting that many young offenders now live with regret. He urged the students to avoid experiencing such trauma at a young age, stressing the importance of enjoying their childhood and not rushing into adult responsibilities, which can be overwhelming.
