Heads up, coastal dwellers of Beqa, Vatulele, Qelelevu, Lau, and Lomaiviti! A strong wind warning is still bolt upright and waving at you. It’s like that over-enthusiastic friend who never wants to leave the party.
Right now, we’re experiencing a southeasterly wind flow that’s more persistent than that one relative who always asks when you’re going to settle down. Expect southeast winds reaching up to 45 km/hr, with gusts showing off their strength at 60 km/hr – but don’t worry, they’ll start to chill out later today. Just a heads up, the seas are about as rough as a catfight in an alley, so tread carefully.
In the southeastern parts of Viti Levu (from Serua/Namosi through Navua to Suva and up to Korovou), Kadavu, and the nearby smaller islands, you’re also facing some cloudy periods with showers—those clouds must’ve attended the same party as our winds and decided to crash at your place. But good news: the downpour should ease to brief showers starting tomorrow! Nights are going to be cooler, perfect for snuggling under a blanket or plotting your next move on the checkers board.
For the rest of Fiji, it’s looking mainly fine—perfect if you were planning to show off that beach bod! And yes, nights will again be cool because, well, it’s Fiji, not a sauna.
