Weather Update
Hello, fabulous citizens of Fiji! Buckle up your seatbelts (or perhaps just tighten your hats) because we’ve got a tale of winds and showers brewing!
A hearty *Strong Wind Warning* is still in place for the brave lands of Lau, Lomaiviti, Kadavu, and a few other cheeky islands trying to join the party. If you’re near Taveuni, Yasawa, or those coastal areas of Rakiraki, Udu Point, and Southern Bua, you can expect winds that would make even the mightiest of kites envious—up to 45 km/hr, and they are here to stay until tomorrow night. Wait for it, the winds will ease up – they can only blow so long before they need a little nap!
Now, just to keep things interesting, the seas are feeling a bit rowdy, so if you had plans to channel your inner sailor, be prepared for a splash or two. Clouds are hanging around, especially if you’re in Serua-Namosi, Navua, Suva, Nausori, and their neighbors. You might even be gifted with brief showers, which are like nature’s way of saying, “Surprise!”
Don’t fret though; elsewhere, it’s mainly fine and nice enough to plan a barbecue, although the nights will be a bit on the cool side—so maybe grab a sweater, just in case.
Looking ahead to Saturday, it seems like more of the same—a few clouds with a sprinkle here and there. The winds will still be making their presence felt but slightly less rambunctious.
As for our dear cities:
– In **Navua/Suva/Nausori**, expect more clouds and a dash of showers.
– For **Nadi/Lautoka/Ba**, you’re looking at mainly fine conditions—perfect for enjoying those cool nights in peace.
– **Coral Coast/Sigatoka** has some clouds and showers but rest assured, mostly fine weather elsewhere!
– Down in **Rakiraki**, your southeast winds are heating up, but don’t forget to look for those cheeky showers stretching their legs.
– **Yasawa/Mamanuca** groups will see some turbulent winds but will mostly bask in fine weather—just cooler at night, as usual!
– **Labasa**, you are in luck! Fine weather and cool nights await you!
– **Savusavu** is packing clouds with some showers – they’re bringing their friends too!
– Over in **Lau/Lomaiviti** and **Kadavu**, expect those southeastern winds and a hint of rain to keep things lively.
And last but certainly not least, **Rotuma** is facing strong winds and rough seas, so maybe hold off on those beach outings for now unless you fancy being blown away!
