Hold onto your hats, folks! A STRONG WIND WARNING is blowing through, quite literally, as our breezy buddies in the Lau and Lomaiviti Groups, Kadavu, Taveuni, Yasawa, and the coastal areas of Rakiraki, Udu Point, and Southern Bua are about to experience some winds that could make even the sturdiest hat fly off into the sunset.

What’s causing this blustery situation? A high-pressure system lounging to the south of Fiji is lazily sending strong southeasterly winds our way, like a cheeky friend who shows up uninvited but with a party!

Forecasting until midnight tomorrow, expect those southeast winds to rev up to 45 km/hr in various lovely land areas. Don’t fret too much; the winds will decide to take a chill pill starting tomorrow night.

Elsewhere, mild to moderately fresh winds will be blowing by occasionally, making sure your hair gets a good tousle. Seas are a bit rough, so consider sticking to land unless you’ve got surfing skills that would impress even the locals.

As for the clouds, they’re pulling out the shower card over areas like Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, and a few more regions that love a good splash. If you’re hanging out in those spots, grab an umbrella – or perhaps a raincoat adorned with your favorite superhero!

The good news for the rest of the outdoor enthusiasts? Mainly fine weather should put a smile on your face, and the nights will be cool enough to warrant a cozy blanket or a warm cup of cocoa.

Looking forward to Saturday? Expect some similar cloudy periods and a few brief showers in the usual suspects: Serua-Namosi and the Lomaiviti group. But don’t worry! Elsewhere will be mainly sunny and a lovely night to enjoy the great outdoors with a cool breeze.

Now, let’s give you the lowdown on some specific spots:

For Navua/Suva/Nausori, prepare for lovely cloud-filled pillows with some showers. Those cool nights mean you might want to snuggle under a blanket.

In Nadi/Lautoka/Ba, it’s looking predominantly fine—great news for your plans! Plan on cool nights, perfect for … sleeping in!

Out at the Coral Coast/Sigatoka, clouds are giving you some flirty showers while other areas win the fine weather lottery.

In Tavua/Rakiraki, get ready for those breezy southeast winds up to 45 km/hr that will keep you on your toes. Expect a mix of clouds, some showers, and those ever-so-cool nights.

For Yasawa/Mamanuca, keep your cushiony hat firmly in place with those southeast winds whipping around the waters—also, mainly fine conditions are on the horizon for you too!

Labasa is basking in good weather glory, with only a chance of cool nights to tease you into having the most marvelous dreams.

Savusavu is sharing a cloud of fun with brief showers and those ultra-cool nights.

The Lau and Lomaiviti group will have winds dancing at 45 km/hr, some clouds, and sprinkles of showers to keep the mood lively.

For Kadavu, expect similar gusty greetings and cool evenings—perfect for a cozy gathering under the stars.

And finally, for our friends in Rotuma, a STRONG WIND WARNING is still waving its red flag! Get ready for east to southeast winds and rough seas—a windsurfer’s delight! Those clouds and brief showers are your guests tonight, so let them in!

Remember to keep your umbrellas handy, your hats secured, and enjoy this wild weather ride!
