Suva striker Merrill Nand is currently at the forefront of the Golden Boot race in the Digicel Fiji Premier League following 14 rounds of competition. Nand has scored a total of 10 goals, leading the pack, while four-time winner Sairusi Nalaubu from Lautoka and seasoned Labasa forward Christopher Wasasala trail closely behind with 8 goals each.

In the competition, Nadroga’s Rusiate Matarerega, Navua’s Ali Mekawir, and Rewa’s Iosefo Verevou are also in the mix, each having netted 7 goals. Meanwhile, Rewa’s Tevita Waranaivalu and Etonia Dogalau from Ba have each scored 6 goals.

This weekend, Nand, Wasasala, and Mekawir will have another opportunity to increase their goal tallies. On Sunday, Tailevu Naitasiri will take on Nasinu at 1 PM, followed by Navua facing Suva at 3 PM, and a match between Nadi and Labasa at Prince Charles Park around the same time.
