The Department of Immigration has announced the launch of its Online Permit Processing System, set to go live on September 2. This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency and convenience of processing work permits, investor permits, and appeals.
To facilitate the transition to the new system, the department will no longer accept applications for work permits, investor permits, and appeals starting this Friday. They assured that all current paper applications in progress will be completed within the following month.
Furthermore, the Immigration Department clarified that applicants whose current permits expire between August 23 and September 2 will not face penalties if they do not file a renewal application during this time.
The new system is expected to streamline workflows, reduce processing times for work permit applications, and allow applicants to monitor the status of their applications at each stage.
