Commodore Humphrey Tawake, Deputy Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, emphasized the importance of strategic vision in decision-making during the launch of the Veiliutaki Framework Lead Systems this week. He noted that, alongside the evolving roles of contemporary military leadership, effective communication and an understanding of the complexities in the current strategic military landscape are critical.

Commodore Tawake articulated that leadership involves comprehending organizational processes. He stated, “System leadership is about fostering a culture conducive to systems approaches.” He pointed out that system leaders establish the framework for organizations to operate more systematically and motivate personnel to integrate systems-based methods into their daily responsibilities.

He also highlighted that this transformative approach demands accountability and transparency in fulfilling the roles associated with systems leadership. The course aims to empower leaders at the majors, captains, and warrant officer levels within the RFMF.
