Police in Fiji are actively searching for a hybrid taxi that was stolen last night and subsequently used in a robbery this morning in Savusavu. The incident began around 11 PM when a local male hired the taxi with registration number LT 7072 from the Naodamu taxi base in Labasa.

Shortly after, two additional males entered the vehicle, and the trio made their way towards Delailabasa. During this journey, the taxi was forcibly taken over, and the driver was left at Baloca, Dreketi. This morning, the stolen taxi was then utilized in a robbery at Sewaks shop located in Vatudamu, Navava, Savusavu.

Authorities have urged anyone with information regarding the hybrid bluish taxi to contact the police at 9904204.

Efforts are ongoing to locate the suspects, and the police are appealing to the community for assistance in resolving this troubling incident. It’s crucial for residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to help ensure the safety of their neighborhoods.
