A man has been taken into custody following an investigation into the receipt of stolen property. On Friday, a team from the Southern Division operations team executed a raid at the suspect’s residence in Cunningham, resulting in the recovery of electronic items and other valuables believed to be stolen.
Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations, Livai Driu, stated that ongoing investigations prioritize the identification of individuals who receive stolen goods in an effort to reduce theft and robbery incidents. He noted that criminals often target easily disposable items such as mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches, laptops, and jewelry, and that those involved in this illicit activity are currently being monitored by the police.
The suspect is currently being held at the Nabua Police Station.
