This new position is designed to offer a centralized point of contact for the full range of World Bank Group products and services. It aims to enhance the institution’s ability to address global challenges and drive development with greater speed, efficiency, and impact.
Stefano Mocci brings a wealth of experience to this role, having previously served in various positions within the World Bank Group. Most recently, he was the World Bank Country Manager for the South Pacific and Papua New Guinea.
Mocci emphasizes the commitment to a unified leadership approach, which he believes will better support Fiji’s public and private sectors, ultimately serving the people of Fiji more effectively. He states that this unified leadership will improve the organization’s responsiveness and strengthen its partnership with the government and private sector.
