“Best wishes to everyone in Fiji to enjoy responsibly the season,” Prime Minister Rabuka stated. He called on the public to work collaboratively with the police to ensure safety: “Ask the police to be very, very alert. On our part, members of the public, must be responsible about what we do during this festive season.”
In light of the increased activities during this period, the Fiji Police Force has ramped up their operations to promote public safety. In a recent announcement, the police highlighted that there would be a noticeable rise in police presence throughout towns, cities, roads, and recreational areas.
