The Police M-PAiSA Task Force is intensifying its efforts to address the increasing number of scams that are targeting users of the M-PAiSA platform, particularly as families prepare to withdraw the recently provided $200 Back to School Assistance funds from the Government. Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew, has emphasized the importance of vigilance during this critical financial period.

Chew is strongly advising parents and guardians to personally manage these withdrawals rather than allowing children or unaccompanied individuals to handle financial transactions. He cautioned that opportunistic scammers may be lurking at potential points of withdrawal, waiting to exploit unsuspecting families. “You don’t know who is at the sidelines exploring the opportunity to steal information or money,” he stated, underscoring the need for increased caution.
