The Cabinet has given the green light for a 12-month Waiver of Interest on state lease arrears, set to take effect from September 1, 2024, until August 31, 2025. Throughout this waiver period, lessees are encouraged to settle their outstanding rent without having to pay any accrued interest on the arrears. This initiative follows previous Waivers of Interest that were implemented in 2014-2016, 2018, and 2020-2021.
