The Cabinet has granted approval for a 12-month Waiver of Interest on state lease arrears, which will be in effect from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025. During this waiver period, lessees are encouraged to pay off their rent arrears in full without incurring any interest on the outstanding amounts. This marks the fourth instance of a similar interest waiver, with previous waivers occurring in 2014-2016, 2018, and 2020-2021.
