The Nadroga Stallions netball team is focusing on their fitness as they prepare for next weekend’s FinanceHub Super League match. The competition is on a break this weekend.
Nadroga coach Asinate Korovulavula said the players have been running on the beach and would soon hit the court to work on their game.
“We have learnt from our weaknesses and have focused on improving them during training,” she said. “We will need to improve our ball work and court work.”
Korovulavula mentioned that it has been challenging for her players to attend training at Lawaqa Park since most of them live in villages. “The girls still find a way to attend training and the feedback from them is always positive,” she said.
“Even though it’s a break, we still have the momentum as the players are striving for better results in the upcoming games,” Korovulavula added.
The coach noted that the competition has been intense after four rounds. “All the teams are always prepared to come out as winners at the end of the game. We are fighting hard to go up another level.”
“We are looking forward to performing better after the break despite all the challenges. The players have not missed a day of training this week. We cannot afford to miss training as every team wants to come out winners at the end of each game. We look forward to our upcoming matches.”
