Saint Mary’s Primary School has once again emerged victorious at the Labasa Primary School Athletics Competition, boasting an impressive tally of 30 gold, 17 silver, and 8 bronze medals. This victory marks the school’s second consecutive win in this competitive event.
Following closely, Labasa Primary School secured the second position with 13 gold, 10 silver, and 8 bronze medals, while Holy Family Primary School finished third, achieving 11 gold, 24 silver, and 18 bronze medals.
One of the standout athletes from Saint Mary’s, Ratu Josateki Drevakarua, expressed his excitement about the competition. He emphasized, “We give thanks and honour to the Almighty for giving us the strength in order to defend our title.” Drevakarua acknowledged the rigorous preparation leading up to the two-day event, noting the various challenges faced along the way.
