SPTE 2025: A New Era of Pacific Tourism Awaits in Fiji!

The 9th South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) is set to occur at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa in Nadi, Fiji, on May 9–10, 2025, as announced by the Pacific Tourism Organization (SPTO).

This event follows the highly successful SPTE 2024, which was hosted at the Sheraton Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau Island. The upcoming SPTE will coincide with other significant regional tourism events, including TRENZ 2025 from May 6–8 and the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) taking place from April 28 to May 1, 2025. These events are expected to attract considerable attention from the tourism sector in the Pacific and beyond.

Christopher Cocker, CEO of SPTO, expressed excitement for the 2025 gathering, highlighting the organization’s commitment to promoting innovation and collaboration within Pacific tourism. “We’re thrilled to host the SPTE at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa, a venue that perfectly embodies the warmth and hospitality of the Pacific. Our aim is to provide an exceptional experience for our members and stakeholders, fostering meaningful connections and driving sustainable growth throughout the region,” said Mr. Cocker.

The SPTE, as SPTO’s flagship event, serves as a vital platform for tourism operators, wholesalers, and other stakeholders to network, collaborate, and showcase the diverse range of products and services available in the Pacific Islands. This will be the second time Fiji hosts the exchange, having previously held it for seven successful years in Australia and New Zealand.

Mr. Cocker also emphasized the meticulous preparations underway to ensure a smooth experience for all attendees. “While we have confirmed the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa as the venue, we are working diligently to align all logistical details to provide the best possible experience for everyone involved,” he stated.

The 2025 SPTE will offer stakeholders a unique opportunity to explore new avenues for growth and collaboration, establishing new standards for quality and teamwork within the tourism industry. To support attendees in making the most of this significant event, SPTO plans to update the SPTE website with comprehensive resources for partners interested in attending in the forthcoming months.
