The Pacific Tourism Organisation has announced that the 9th South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) will take place next year at the newly inaugurated Crowne Plaza Fiji in Nadi. Scheduled for May 9-10, 2025, the event follows the successful SPTE 2024 held at the Sheraton Fiji Resort and Spa on Denarau.

SPTO’s chief executive officer, Christopher Cocker, expressed excitement for the upcoming event, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to enhancing collaboration and innovation within the Pacific tourism industry. “Our goal is to create an exceptional experience for our members and stakeholders, one that drives meaningful connections and sustainable growth across the region,” stated Mr. Cocker.

While the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa has been confirmed as the venue, organizers are working to ensure that all logistical arrangements are in place to provide an optimal experience for participants.

The SPTE serves as an essential platform for tourism operators, wholesalers, and industry stakeholders to engage, collaborate, and showcase the diverse offerings of the Pacific islands. Mr. Cocker noted that the event offers a unique opportunity for industry players to come together and explore new avenues for collaboration and growth.

As preparations for SPTE 2025 advance, stakeholders can anticipate access to resources via the event website in the upcoming months to assist with their participation.
