Pacific Energy is launching a charitable initiative this holiday season by placing collection bins at eight prominent service stations across Fiji. This effort, in collaboration with Atpack Fiji Ltd and the Pacific Recycling Foundation, aims to support a Christmas gift and stationery drive designed to benefit the children of families participating in the Collection Pillars of Recycling (CPR) program.

The CPR program plays a crucial role in Fiji’s recycling and waste management landscape, allowing families who collect recyclables from dump sites and public spaces to operate under challenging circumstances. These families significantly contribute to environmental sustainability in the region.

Stephane Cadel, the CEO of Pacific Energy, expressed pride in the continuation of this partnership for the second consecutive year. He emphasized the initiative’s goal to spread holiday cheer and provide necessary school supplies to children who might otherwise lack access to such essentials. By placing collection bins at their service stations, Pacific Energy is encouraging customers to donate and support these hardworking families.

Cadel stated, “At Pacific Energy, we understand that true partnership goes beyond just business — it’s about shared values and community,” highlighting the company’s commitment to the well-being of the communities they serve. The collection bins will be available at service stations in Nabua, Kinoya, Nausori, Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba, with donations accepted until Wednesday, December 4.

This initiative not only brings festive joy to those less fortunate but also showcases a strong sense of community spirit and collaboration in environmental efforts, reinforcing the belief that when communities thrive, everyone benefits.

In summary, Pacific Energy’s efforts to collect gifts for children through strategic partnerships exemplify a model of corporate responsibility and community support that could inspire other businesses to take similar initiatives.
