The Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup concluded last weekend at Churchill Park in Lautoka, bringing together football enthusiasts and players from all over Fiji. The tournament not only provided thrilling matches but also highlighted outstanding football talent.

The NZFFI Auckland All-Stars emerged as champions and made a significant contribution off the field by visiting the Nadi Center for Special Education. In a touching act of generosity, they donated soccer balls to the students and committed $1,500 towards the 2025 Back to School Stationery initiative.

Continuing a legacy of giving, America Fiji Sports Commission Chairman Narend Narayan made a substantial $5,000 donation to WOWS Kids, an organization dedicated to supporting children battling cancer. Narayan, who has consistently shown his commitment to this cause, emphasized his desire to better the lives of children in need.

Fiji FA President Rajesh Patel expressed deep appreciation for the contributions made by both teams, stating that their support transcends the world of football, positively impacting those who require assistance. Patel announced that Fiji FA will maintain its backing for WOWS Kids through ticket sale proceeds from the tournament, with one dollar from each ticket sold over the four days being donated. He revealed that the organization has already contributed over $60,000 as part of its social responsibility efforts and remains determined to continue making a meaningful difference.

This culmination of sports and philanthropy highlights the community spirit within Fiji and underscores the positive influence that sporting events can have beyond the field. With the commitment from both players and organizers, there is great hope for continuing support for those in need.
