Temo Mayanavanua, a second-rower for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians, stated that the team’s strength derives from their spiritual connection rather than solely from physical training. He emphasized the significance of spiritual visits, noting that in Fiji, three fundamental aspects define a Fijian: their connection to the Vanua (land), family, and faith.
As the team gears up for their Pacific Nations Cup match against Samoa, Mayanavanua pointed out that spirituality serves as a guiding principle rather than just a routine. He highlighted the importance of their relationship with God, which influences their lives on and off the field.
The Flying Fijians are set to face Manu Samoa this Friday at 6 PM.
