Temo Mayanavanua, the second-rower for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians, believes the team’s true strength lies not solely in physical training but also in their spiritual connections.
Mayanavanua expressed that spiritual visits hold significant importance for him. “In Fiji, we operate on three essential pillars: our relationship to the Vanua, our family, and our faith,” he stated.
As the team gears up for their Pacific Nations Cup opener against Samoa, he highlighted that spirituality serves as more than just a habit; it acts as a guiding principle.
He mentioned, “One message that resonated with me is our foremost value: our relationship with God, which we uphold both on and off the field.”
The Flying Fijians are set to face Manu Samoa this Friday at 6 PM.
