Dominion Brothers are preparing to make a significant impact at the upcoming Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament, with the addition of Fiji’s elite sprinter and Olympian Waisake Tewa to their roster. The squad features a mix of promising rugby talents, including rising stars such as Josese Batirerega, Iliavi Masori, and Aisea Nawai, the latter being part of the Fijian Drua development squad. The team will be captained by Nacani Boginisoko, with Tawake Tisolo appointed as vice-captain. Additional players in the squad include Ratu Kinijoji Siliyadua, Mosese Nokelala, Alipate Qaraniqio, Vilivo Eroni, Isoa Loroiwaqa, William Underwood, Iowane Qalita, and Apisalome Naivuca.

The highly anticipated 49th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament is set to kick off tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, running until Saturday. Matches will be broadcast live and exclusively on Viti+ for a fee of FJD 69.

This year’s tournament is expected to garner significant interest, with a growing number of teams eager to demonstrate their skills and enhance their standings in the Fiji Bitter series. More than just a sporting event, it will embody the competitive spirit and unity of rugby culture in Fiji, highlighting the wealth of emerging talent within the sport.

The addition of athletes like Waisake Tewa not only elevates the excitement surrounding the tournament but also serves as a source of inspiration for young athletes across Fiji, promoting the growth of the sport and fostering a lively community centered around rugby. This sense of unity and camaraderie, coupled with the display of skill and athleticism, reinforces the positive influence of rugby in the Fijian cultural landscape.
