South Pacific Business Development (SPBD), an important player in Fiji’s microfinance sector, has officially relocated its Labasa branch to a new site along the main road in Labasa Town.

This move is part of a strategic plan to enhance visibility and accessibility for clients and stakeholders, as stated by SPBD Fiji’s managing director, Elrico Munoz.

“The new location will be more accessible for our customers, which is the primary reason for the relocation,” he explained.

Munoz mentioned that approximately $2000 was invested in the new office, which opened its doors yesterday. The team remains unchanged, consisting of three field officers, referred to as center managers, who will continue to serve various villages, along with one back office staff member.

He emphasized that the new location is expected to increase outreach and generate more business, stating, “At the back road, nobody would really visit our office.”

Previously, the SPBD office was situated on the less-traveled back road of Sangam Avenue.
