Spain Clinches Fourth European Championship Title with Late Victory

Spain claimed their fourth European Championship title by defeating England 2-1 in a thrilling final at Euro 2024 in Berlin.

Spain had previously won the championship in 1964, 2008, and 2012.

The match was a hard-fought contest, but Spain ultimately emerged victorious with late drama sealing the win.

During the first half, both teams struggled to find their rhythm and failed to score. However, Spain swiftly changed the game’s script just over a minute into the second half.

Lamine Yamal made a crucial pass to Nico Williams, who struck the ball into the far corner of the England net, putting Spain in the lead.

England tried to equalize, and it was Cole Palmer who rose to the occasion, scoring with a magnificent long-range shot in the 73rd minute to level the score.

The game seemed destined for a draw until the 86th minute when Mikel Oyarzabal, connecting with a cross from Marc Cucurella, scored a decisive goal, dashing England’s hopes and securing the championship for Spain.
