Spain Clinches Fourth European Championship Title in Thrilling Victory

Spain claimed their fourth European Championship title by defeating England 2-1 in a dramatic final at Berlin’s Euro 2024. With previous victories in 1964, 2008, and 2012, Spain added another title to their record.

Both teams fought fiercely in a match filled with tension, but it was Spain who triumphed with a decisive conclusion. The first half ended in a stalemate as neither side could gain an advantage or find their rhythm.

Spain altered the course of the game just over a minute into the second half. Lamine Yamal executed a crucial play, passing to Nico Williams, who then struck the ball into the far corner of England’s net to give Spain the lead.

England sought an equalizer, and Cole Palmer answered with a spectacular long-range goal in the 73rd minute, leveling the match. The game appeared to be heading for a draw until the 86th minute, when Mikel Oyarzabal connected with a cross from Marc Cucurella and scored, crushing England’s hopes and securing the championship for Spain.
