Officers from the Southern Division swiftly apprehended two men linked to separate robbery incidents. The first suspect was arrested after law enforcement was notified of a robbery in Vatuwaqa, where a group had reportedly stolen a safe and various electronic items from a business in the Lalita Bhindi Sub-Division. Following the alert, the task force quickly tracked down and detained a suspect.
In a separate incident late Saturday night, a woman walking along Gaji Road was reportedly robbed. The victim pursued her assailant, leading to a response from nearby officers who assisted in capturing the suspect. This individual was taken into custody at the Raiwaqa Police Station. Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
