South Pacific Tourism Exchange 2025: A Must-Attend Event in Fiji!

The 9th South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) is set to occur at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa in Nadi, Fiji, on May 9–10, 2025, as announced by the Pacific Tourism Organization (SPTO).

This event follows the successful SPTE 2024, held at the Sheraton Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau Island. The upcoming SPTE will coincide with other important regional tourism events, including TRENZ 2025 from May 6–8 and the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) from April 28 to May 1, 2025. These events are expected to draw significant attention from the Pacific tourism sector and beyond.

Christopher Cocker, the CEO of SPTO, expressed excitement for the 2025 event and reiterated the organization’s commitment to encouraging innovation and collaboration within Pacific tourism. He stated, “We’re thrilled to host the SPTE at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa, a venue that perfectly embodies the warmth and hospitality of the Pacific. Our aim is to provide an exceptional experience for our members and stakeholders, fostering meaningful connections and driving sustainable growth throughout the region.”

The SPTE is the premier event for the SPTO, serving as a vital platform for tourism operators, wholesalers, and other stakeholders to network, collaborate, and showcase the extensive products and services available in the Pacific Islands. This will mark the second time the SPTE has been held in Fiji, following seven successful years in Australia and New Zealand.

Cocker also highlighted the meticulous preparations being made to ensure a smooth experience for all attendees. He added, “While we have confirmed the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa as the venue, we are working diligently to align all logistical details to provide the best possible experience for everyone involved.”

The 2025 SPTE will offer stakeholders a unique opportunity to explore new avenues for growth and collaboration, while also establishing new standards for quality and cooperation in the tourism sector. To ensure attendees have the necessary information to fully engage with this significant event, the SPTO will be updating the SPTE website with detailed resources for interested partners in the coming months.
