New Zealand has extended a chance to Hoskin Sotutu after he was previously omitted from the All Blacks lineup. Sotutu has been included in the All Blacks XV squad for their upcoming two-match northern tour against Munster and Georgia next month.
The Blues powerhouse made history by scoring a record 12 tries as a forward during the Blues’ championship-winning season in the Super Rugby Pacific competition.
There were speculations that Sotutu might consider switching his allegiance to Fiji, where he is eligible through his father, former test player Waisake, or to England through his mother, Adelita.
Joining Sotutu in the squad is Isaia Walker-Leawere, the son of former Flying Fijians captain Kele Leawere. Kini Naholo, the younger brother of former All Blacks winger Nehe Naholo, along with Emoni Narawa, were also named as outside backs.
George Bower, known as the “Humble Horse” and nicknamed the “Fijian Bulldozer,” was selected as one of the props.
