New Zealand has extended a new opportunity to Hoskin Sotutu after he was not selected for the All Blacks this year. Sotutu has been included in the All Blacks XV squad for their upcoming two-match tour to the northern hemisphere, where they will face Munster and Georgia next month.
The forward made a significant impact in the Super Rugby Pacific competition, setting a record for forwards with 12 tries during the victorious season with the Blues. There were speculations that Sotutu might consider switching his international allegiance to Fiji, where he qualifies through his father, former test player Waisake, or to England via his mother, Adelita.
The squad also features Isaia Walker-Leawere, the son of former Flying Fijians captain Kele Leawere. Kini Naholo, the younger brother of former All Blacks winger Nehe, along with Emoni Narawa, have been named as outside backs. Additionally, George Bower, known as the “Humble Horse” or the “Fijian Bulldozer,” has been selected as one of the prop forwards.
