New Zealand has provided an opportunity for Hoskin Sotutu, who was not selected for the All Blacks this year. He has been included in the All Blacks XV squad for their upcoming two-match tour in the northern hemisphere against Munster and Georgia next month.
Sotutu made headlines during the Super Rugby Pacific season, scoring a record 12 tries as a forward, contributing significantly to the Blues’ championship victory.
There were speculations that Sotutu might consider switching his international allegiance to Fiji, where he has eligibility through his father, former test player Waisake, or to England via his mother, Adelita.
The squad also features Isaia Walker-Leawere, son of former Flying Fijians captain Kele Leawere. Additionally, Kini Naholo, the younger brother of former All Blacks winger Nehe Naholo, and Emoni Narawa have been named as outside backs.
Among the props listed is George Bower, also known as the “Humble Horse” and the “Fijian Bulldozer.”
