Solomoni Nata has been officially named the CEO of the iTaukei Land Trust Board (iTTLB), following a successful period serving as interim chief. The announcement was made by the organization’s chairman and Minister for iTaukei Affairs, Ifereimi Vasu.
During his tenure as interim CEO, Nata spearheaded numerous significant achievements such as the formation of the iTaukei Wealth Fund and Land Development facility. Both projects were aimed at providing meaningful support to landowning units, introducing more economic opportunities and encouraging sustainable development.
Vasu praised the substantial progress the organization witnessed under Nata’s interim leadership, expressing faith in his skills to further guide the iTTLB to larger achievements, while better fulfilling the board’s responsibilities.
Notably, Nata has been instrumental in reviewing laws and policies affecting the iTaukei community. He has successfully rebuilt trust and fortified relationships with chiefs and landowners. Vasu highlighted how Nata also improved the company infrastructure, securing jobs and enhancing managerial and staff development through exhaustive job appraisals.
The new CEO’s initiatives include the implementation of fresh policies, the diversification of investments for landowners, and supervising the procurement of iTTLB buildings across different regions.
Under the board’s supervision, Nata will continue to lead key changes to further modernize the iTLTB, and ensure it delivers improved service to landowning units and aligns itself closely with the organization’s purpose.
Nata’s term as CEO will span two years. The board anticipates continued growth and positive influence under his helm.
