Solomoni Nata Appointed as CEO of iTaukei Land Trust Board, Set to Continue Land Reforms and Development Initiatives

Solomoni Nata has been named as the new CEO of the iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB), as announced by Ifereimi Vasu, the Chairman of the iTaukei Land Trust Board and Minister for iTaukei Affairs. This decision follows Nata’s successful run as interim CEO for the past year.

Throughout his interim tenure, Nata bagged several impressive achievements, one of which includes the establishment of the iTaukei Wealth Fund and the Land Development facility. These endeavors aim to extend substantial support to landowning communities, uplifting their financial prospects and endorsing sustainable growth.

Vasu praised Nata’s leadership, stating, “Over the past year, we have seen remarkable progress under Nata’s leadership. We believe in his capability to further propel TLTB’s success and effectively carry out the board’s vision.”

Nata’s remarkable contribution to revisions in laws and policies affecting the iTaukei population was also noted. His tireless efforts rejuvenated trust and reinforced relationships with chiefs and landowners. Furthermore, he has mended the corporate structure, offering enhanced job security and capacity improvement for management and staff through extensive job evaluations.

Among other achievements, Nata’s initiatives also include the introduction of new policies, the diversification of investments for landowners, and overseeing TLTB building acquisitions in various regions.

Under the board’s guidance, Nata will persist in leading crucial reforms aimed at reshaping iTLTB, thereby ensuring it aligns more closely with the organization’s mission and benefits the landowning units more effectively.

Nata’s tenure as CEO is expected to last for two years, and the board eagerly anticipates the continued progress and positive impact he will bring to the organization.
