The Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) has officially appointed Ratu Filimoni Soqeta as its new president, confirming his previous acting position. Alongside Ratu Soqeta, Ratu Ramesio Qarau and Ratu Epeli Tuisese were elected as vice presidents. SODELPA expressed confidence in their leadership team, stating, “They join our Party Leader, Hon. Aseri Radrodro, and Vice President, Ratu Jone Lesuma, to form a formidable team of young, visionary leaders.” The party is gearing up for the upcoming 2025 Municipal Elections and the 2026 National General Elections, aiming to reflect the desires of the electorate.
