Priya Kumar, the group’s quality control manager, noted that Ocean Soaps Limited has been producing a range of soaps for several years and has established a world-class laboratory and testing facility at its Navutu location in Lautoka, adhering to the rigorous certification standards of Australia.
Kumar explained that the ingredients in the Bodyguard soap brand are specifically designed to enhance personal hygiene and help prevent the spread of germs through effective handwashing.
She highlighted that handwashing with soap plays a crucial role in achieving the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goal of reducing child mortality rates among children under five by two-thirds by 2015. Kumar emphasized that instilling good hygiene habits from a young age can empower children to influence positive behaviors, such as consistently using soap when washing their hands, within their communities.
