Six individuals were apprehended in Nadawa early Sunday morning on charges of selling liquor without the necessary licensing. The Fiji Police Force confirmed that the arrests resulted from a raid conducted by the Southern Division Taskforce at a local shop, where authorities seized a variety of alcoholic beverages believed to have been sold unlawfully.
The suspects are currently in police custody as investigations are underway to gather more information related to the illicit liquor trade. In an effort to combat illegal liquor sales, the Fiji Police Force has encouraged the public to report any suspicious activities directly to Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, ACP Kasiano Vusonilawe, at 9904 905. This proactive community engagement is vital for ensuring the safety and legality of local businesses.
