Leeds Rhinos have announced the signing of Fijian winger Maika Sivo from the Australian club Parramatta Eels on a three-year contract. The 31-year-old, who is currently representing his country in the Pacific Championships, has been with Parramatta since 2019, where he scored over 100 tries in the NRL.
Sivo’s move to Headingley will see him rejoin Leeds coach Brad Arthur, who previously managed Parramatta for a decade. He is the fourth new signing for the Rhinos since the conclusion of the 2024 Super League season, following the arrivals of Samoa’s Keenan Palasia, Australian second-rower Cooper Jenkins, and full-back Jake Connor from Huddersfield Giants.
“Brad is a big part of who and where I am today,” Sivo commented. “When he sent me a message asking if I wanted to come to Leeds, I immediately said, ‘I’m coming.’ It was a significant decision for me and my partner to move to the other side of the world, but we are both excited about the challenge ahead.”
