Leeds Rhinos have secured the signing of Fiji winger Maika Sivo from the Australian club Parramatta Eels on a three-year contract. The 31-year-old is currently representing his national team in the Pacific Championships and has been with Parramatta since 2019, where he scored over 100 tries in the NRL.
Sivo’s move to Headingley will see him reunite with Leeds head coach Brad Arthur, who managed Parramatta for a decade. He is the fourth new signing for the Rhinos since the conclusion of the 2024 Super League season, following the additions of Samoa’s Keenan Palasia, Australian forward Cooper Jenkins, and full-back Jake Connor from Huddersfield Giants.
Sivo expressed his gratitude towards Arthur, stating, “Brad is a big part of who and where I am today. When he flicked me the message to ask if I wanted to come to Leeds, I said ‘I’m coming’. It was a big decision for me and my partner to come to the other side of the world but straight away we were excited for the challenge ahead.”
