The graduation ceremony took place at the Fiji Vodafone Arena and was a momentous occasion for their entire family. The sisters expressed their gratitude towards their parents for their sacrifices and acknowledged the role of divine guidance in their journey.

Adi Nunia, the older sister, completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) in China, while Makelesi earned her MBBS from FNU in 2015. Reflecting on their arduous journey, Makelesi remarked that balancing work and studies was challenging, but she felt blessed to have God’s wisdom and support throughout.

This achievement makes them the first in their extended family to attain such educational qualifications. Makelesi expressed hope that their success would inspire others to pursue new fields of study.

Currently, both sisters are practicing medicine at Aspen Medical in Lautoka, motivated by their dedication to providing quality patient care. Makelesi emphasized the importance of being both knowledgeable and compassionate in their profession.

For Adi Nunia, her son serves as her greatest inspiration. She shared her desire to set a positive example for him, mentioning, “I’ve seen the struggles my parents endured for me and my four siblings. I want to be a similar inspiration to others, especially my son. He’s my reason to push myself to the next level and set a benchmark for him to strive ahead.”

The sisters also recognized the support and guidance from senior healthcare professionals, highlighting the significance of perseverance in their academic journey. They concluded with a powerful message: “While the course was challenging and time-consuming, anything is possible if you put your mind to it—especially when God is at the center of it all.”

This story serves not only as a celebration of educational accomplishments but also as an encouragement for others to pursue their dreams and overcome obstacles with determination and faith.

In summary, Adi Nunia and Makelesi’s graduation stands as a beacon of inspiration, showcasing the impact of hard work, familial support, and faith on personal achievements. Their story embodies hope and the potential for others to follow in their footsteps.
