Fijian rugby player Sireli Maqala continues to excel in the French Top 14 league, scoring his 10th try of the season during Bayonne’s impressive 33-12 victory over Castres. This achievement keeps him at the top of the try-scoring leaderboard after 13 matches. Maqala showcased his skills by intercepting a deflected pass and sprinting 60 meters without opposition to add to his tally.
In the same match, Luke Tagi, another member of the Flying Fijians, participated for Bayonne in the second half, while Vilimoni Botitu represented Castres at center. Veteran player Leone Nakarawa was also part of the matchday squad for Castres.
In additional matchups from the day, Pau triumphed over RC Vannes with a score of 48-24, and Montpellier narrowly defeated Clermont 22-18.
