Sireli Maqala, the dynamic utility back for the Flying Fijians, continues to make a significant impact in France’s Top 14 league while playing for Bayonne. In a recent match, he showcased his talent by scoring his 10th try of the season, contributing to Bayonne’s convincing 33-12 victory over Castres.

The 2021 Olympic gold medalist in rugby sevens remains the leading try-scorer in the league, having played in 13 matches so far this season. His latest try came after he skillfully intercepted a deflected pass and darted 60 meters down the field without any opposition, highlighting his pace and agility.

Additionally, fellow teammate Luke Tagi also represented Bayonne, coming on in the second half, while Vilimoni Botitu played at center for Castres and veteran Leone Nakarawa was part of the match day squad.

In other notable matches from the day, Pau recorded a solid win against RC Vannes with a score of 48-24, while Montpellier managed to edge out Clermont with a close 22-18 victory.
