Singapore Incident at Ariana Grande’s Wicked Premiere Ends in Nine-Day Jail

A Singapore court handed down a nine-day jail sentence to an Australian man following an incident during the Asian premiere of “Wicked: For Good.” The event took place at Universal Studios last week and was attended by star Ariana Grande and other notable figures.

The individual in question, 26-year-old Johnson Wen, reportedly jumped over a barricade and placed his arm around Grande, capturing the moment in a series of video clips that have since gone viral. In the footage, Wen can be seen wrapping his arm around a visibly surprised Grande and exuberantly waving to the audience.

Fortunately, Grande’s co-star, Cynthia Erivo, quickly intervened to protect her, and security personnel swiftly removed Wen from the scene. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety and personal boundaries in high-profile events. The quick response from Grande’s team helped ensure the situation was contained without further incident.
