Bale Vetaukula’s impressive hat trick led the Kaiviti Silktails to a thrilling 34-28 victory over the Melbourne Storm in round seven of the NSW Rugby League Jersey Flegg Cup. The five-eighth scored his three tries within a remarkable stretch, crossing the line at the 33rd, 37th, and 51st minutes. In addition to Vetaukula’s contributions, teammates Akuila Qoro scored twice in the 18th and 76th minutes, while Iowani Mainalovo added another try in the 29th minute. Mainalovo was also instrumental with five successful conversions throughout the match.

The Storm fought back valiantly with tries from Gabriel Satrick, Josiah-Ekkehard Neli, Zayvian Langkilde-Fale, and two by Siulagi Pio, but the Silktails led 22-6 at halftime, demonstrating their ability to control the game early on.
