With 28 local teams competing for just seven coveted spots in January’s main event, organizers have confirmed the pools and fixtures for what is anticipated to be one of the most fiercely contended qualifying tournaments to date.
Tournament Director Randall Kamea expressed enthusiasm about the preparations, assuring spectators they can look forward to an action-packed day of rugby featuring strong performances and fast-paced play.
The pools have been organized into several groups showcasing a blend of experience and emerging talent. Pool A includes Devo Babas, Island Magic Daveta, Tubarua Highlanders, and C3 Brothers, promising a mix of flair and physicality. In Pool B, Ratu Filise leads the charge alongside Kesenavunivalu Rugby, Suva Stallions, and St Gabriel Nakavika, with Ratu Filise expected to set an early competitive tone.
Pool C features Uso Tasi Rugby, Lami Cavaliers, Pegasus Rugby, and Yaro Chiefs, where any team has the potential to emerge victorious, creating a balanced contest. Meanwhile, Pool D includes Covenant Rugby, Ravuka Sharks, Yalova Spearhead, and Dominion Brothers, forming a pool recognized for its powerful plays and strong finishing ability.
