“Sigatoka Methodist College Secures Victory in Weet-Bix Raluve Under-16 Final”

Number eight Repeka Mudunavere scored twice for Sigatoka Methodist College as they triumphed over Votualevu College 26-10 in the final of the Weet-Bix Raluve Under-16 Western Secondary Schools competition at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, today.

The team defended their Western title for the third consecutive year. SMC led 12-5 at halftime.

Additional tries were scored by winger Sereima Naruku and Seniwaite Sayabo, with three successful conversions from first five-eighth Alitia Navukula.

Votualevu College from Nadi managed two tries, scored by flanker Verenaisi Vananalagi and number eight Salome Navuda.

SMC is also the defending national champion and appears to be the team to beat this season.

Both teams have qualified for the national quarterfinals at the HFC Bank Stadium in two weeks’ time.
