The supermarket chain Shop N Save has officially renewed its partnership with the Fijian Drua for three additional seasons, extending their collaboration until 2028. This commitment signifies more than just a sponsorship; it highlights the company’s dedication to investing in local sports and supporting the development of Fijian talent.

Nisheel Kisun, the CEO of Shop N Save, emphasized that their involvement is rooted in a shared vision for the growth of Fijian sports. “Our commitment goes beyond sponsorship; it’s about investing in national institutions, supporting local talent, and ensuring that the success of Fijian sport is matched by strong corporate partnerships rooted in our shared long-term vision and values,” Kisun explained during a media event.

The renewal of the partnership also includes the continuation of naming rights for the competition, meaning it will remain known as the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific in Fiji. This longstanding association has proven mutually beneficial, as evidenced by the Drua’s emergence as a significant competitor within the Super Rugby Pacific, inspiring both young athletes and fans alike.

Fijian Drua’s CEO, Jeff Miller, reinforced the importance of this partnership, stating, “We could not do this without the support of companies like Shop N Save. It’s important for the Drua and our performances that we’ve got support from companies like this.” He expressed enthusiasm for the renewal, viewing it as a timely opportunity to generate excitement as a new season approaches.

Shop N Save’s involvement with the Drua began in 2022 when it became a major sponsor, featuring prominently on matchday kits, and transitioned to a naming rights sponsor a year later. This ongoing collaboration highlights a shared commitment to fostering local talent and promoting the sport within the region, creating a positive impact in both communities and the wider sporting landscape.
