In September, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) reported that 10 individuals have been charged with over 25 sexual offences. This update detailing serious sexual offences outlined that these incidents involved 10 victims, comprising two males and eight females.

Among the accused, a 20-year-old man faces charges for allegedly raping his 10-year-old male cousin. In another case, a 25-year-old man has been charged with the rape and sexual assault of a 14-year-old boy. The ODPP revealed that there were six incidents involving victims and their offenders being related.

In one alarming case, a 45-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 16-year-old stepdaughter; however, this case was halted due to lack of evidence. Additionally, a 28-year-old man has been charged with raping his five-year-old niece, while a 29-year-old man faces multiple charges related to the rape and sexual assault of his 15-year-old niece.

Furthermore, a 20-year-old man is charged with multiple counts involving rape, including four counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, and two counts of indecent assault against his 17-year-old cousin. A separate incident involves a 29-year-old man charged with the attempted rape and sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl from his village, and another case involves a 20-year-old man charged with raping an 11-year-old girl from the same community.

The report indicates that two cases were dismissed due to insufficient evidence, with one case being discontinued because the victim could not be contacted or located.
