A passenger was taken to Labasa Hospital following a vehicle accident in Buca, Savusavu, last Sunday. According to Acting Divisional Police Commander North, Superintendent of Police Eroni Soqosoqo, the incident occurred in the early morning when the vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a house.

The driver and two passengers were initially treated at Savusavu Subdivisional Hospital. Superintendent Soqosoqo reported that while the driver and one passenger received treatment and were later discharged, another passenger required additional medical attention and was referred to Labasa Hospital.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported from the occupants of the house that was struck by the vehicle. Police were on the scene to assist and support the victims.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and careful driving, particularly in challenging conditions. Despite the circumstances, the quick response from medical and police personnel helped to ensure that everyone involved received the necessary care.
